Rebecca Long

Rebecca “Beckie” Clark Long, age 69, of Scottsville, KY, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, at her residence in Scottsville, KY.

On June 6, 1952, she was born in Bardstown, KY, to the late Joseph Stephen Clark and Betty Pearl Hardin Clark. She met the love of her life Roy Lee Long, who survives in Elizabethtown, KY, while working as an assistant librarian after a brief courtship they married on July 7, 1972. Beckie was a homemaker, a job she cherished each day. However, her family was her pride and joy. She was also a member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Roy Lee Long, of Scottsville, KY, she is survived by one son; Chris Long, of Scottsville, KY; and one daughter; Toni Burnham and husband, Cliff, of Alvaton, KY.

Four brothers; also survive Thomas Clark of Bardstown, KY, Charles Clark of Boston, KY, Stephen Clark of Lawrenceburg, KY; Johnny Clark of New Haven, KY: one sister Maureen Durbin of Bardstown, KY; Two grandchildren; Alex and Kathryn Burnham of Alvaton, KY

In addition to her parents, Beckie is preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Clark, and one sister, Victoria Burba.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial in the Allen County Memorial Gardens in Scottsville, KY.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 22, 2022, and after 7:30 AM Wednesday, March 23, 2022, until funeral service.
