Norma Ives

Norma Valoise Smith Ives, age 88, of Scottsville, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at The Medical Center, in Scottsville, KY.

She was born in Allen County, KY, on August 26, 1933, to the late Lawrence Smith and Edith Howard Smith. She was the wife of the late Fred Ives, whom she married in December of 1955 in Springfield, TN. Norma was an Administrative Assistant and retired from the Allen County Extension Office. She was a member of the Allen County Homemakers and Mt. Union General Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Howard Robert Ives and wife Sherry of Whitehouse, TN, one daughter Mary Ann Ives Brown and husband Danny of  Scottsville, KY; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Willard T. Smith and William C. Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2022, at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial in the Allen County Memorial Gardens in Scottsville, KY.

Visitation will be held from1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on  Thursday, June 2, 2022, and after 7:30 AM on Friday, June 3, 2022, until the funeral service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association and can be made at the funeral home.
