Darrel Weaver

Darrel D. Weaver, 74, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Medical Center in Scottsville, KY.

He was born March 17, 1947 in Allen County, KY to the late Wilbur D. and Lorene (Estes) Weaver. He was a 1965 graduate of Allen County High School. He married Barbara (Jones) Weaver, who survives, in 1965 in Allen County, KY. Darrel was retired from Holley Automotive, where he worked for 41 years. Over the years Darrel was a member of several organizations including the Halifax Volunteer Fire Department, Hays Lodge #517 and later moved to Graham Lodge #208, and was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, Barbara (Jones) Weaver, he is survived by two daughters: Kim Carter, Scottsville, KY, and Jenny Meador, wife of Blake, Scottsville, KY.

Four grandchildren: Jessica Carter, Drew Meador, Joshua Carter, and Sarah Beth Meador, all of Scottsville, KY.

He is also survived by his little dog, Ginger, whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Janice Duke.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 1:00PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 3:00PM-8:00PM and after 7:30AM until funeral service time Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home.

Masonic Rites will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 7:00PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the charity of your choice and can be made at the funeral home.
