Camilus Hall Cornwell, 81, of Scottsville, KY passed away peacefully at his residence, Thursday, May 20, 2021.
He was born October 11, 1939 in Allen County, KY to the late Ralph Cornwell and Violet Tabor Cornwell. Camilus married Tressie Manion Cornwell, who precedes him in death, in Ringgold, GA on May 17, 1958. Camilus was a retired farmer and owned Cornwell’s Used Trucks. He was a member of Graham Lodge #208 and Berean Baptist Church at Lakeway, where he served as a deacon.
He is survived by one daughter, Robbie Jill Davis, and husband, Ricky, of Scottsville, KY;
One grandson, Seth Davis, and fiancé, Sarah, of Scottsville, KY;
Two sisters, Patty Cornwell and Sue Jackson, both of Scottsville, KY;
One brother-in-law, Dr. Kenny Joe Manion, and sister-in-law, Genell Lyle, both of Scottsville, KY also survive.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by one son, Mark Hall Cornwell and one brother, Phillip Cornwell.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 11:00AM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 from 11:00AM-8:00PM and after 7:30AM until funeral service time Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Berean Baptist Church at Lakeway and can be made at the funeral home.
Arrangements entrusted to Harwood & Strode Funeral Home.
In accordance with the Governor’s Mandate, face coverings are NOT REQUIRED for individuals who have been fully vaccinated. However, NO PUBLIC lounge is available at this time.
